In the readings assigned to you, what is the difference in meaning of "Affect" and "Emotion"?

Part 2

The Norman, Ortony and Russell (NOR) paper lays out a three layer architecture (Reactive/Routine/Reflective, which Don refered to as Visceral/Behavioral/Reflective in the class). The Ortony, Clore and Collins (OCC) reading presents a taxonomy of emotion types (Figure 2.1, p10 in our extract). How would you relate these two? Specifically, what aspects of the OCC model would be reactive, routine or reflective kinds of affect? Generally, what do you think is the relationship between these analyses?
